Incredible, darkly compelling read. Cringeworthy moments of childhood on the edge. People can definitely be forced to survive through a lot more than one would think possible.
And here it goes once again...
Parenting should be a licenced occupation so that no patently idiotic couples would torture their children with stupidity, negligence and overlooking their basic needs. Yes, I know - a vastly exploited line for a dystopic society would follow shortly since such order of things would probably be overdone as it tends to usually happen with most of the best laid plans of humanity by humanity for humanity. And still who knows? Such dystopic society might turn out to be a kinder one towards children than societies where childbearing and -rearing is allowed for everyone wiiling to induldge in it.
Damn all people who believe they have the right to have children and then do their darndest best to damage them. Children are not property! If you have them then please have the grace to help them grow up with dignity!
One hell of a situation from which the author managed to escape relatively unscathed (right?).
Thumbs up to the author and her siblings for their incredible resilience in will, mind and spirit. God bless you and save us all from such and such!
